Tatyana Matokhina, a member of InKoom's Gender and Anti-Discrimination Expertise Project team, told Kaktus.media in an interview why it is important to maintain gender balance in textbooks and how teachers themselves can get rid of gender stereotypes.

There are more than a thousand streets in Bishkek. Most of them are named after famous people, usually men. The editorial staff of Kaktus.media counted 12 streets named after real women. A few more streets are named after women (usually literary heroines). This topographical gender inequality is a global problem.
