In Bishkek, a training on promoting gender equality in Kyrgyzstan was held for organizations defending the rights of people with disabilities.

In Bishkek, on June 19-20, 2024, a significant training was held on promoting gender equality under the theme: “Promoting Gender Equality in Kyrgyzstan: Approaches and Practices.” The event brought together representatives from various public organizations focused on raising awareness and protecting the interests of people with disabilities.

As part of the training conducted for organizations advocating for the rights of people with disabilities, significant progress was made in strengthening the knowledge and skills of participants in the area of gender equality. The participants gained a deep understanding of the key aspects of gender equality, including its importance for social development and the protection of the rights of all citizens, including people with disabilities. They had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the basic concepts and methods for addressing gender issues, which is crucial for effectively promoting gender equality.

The training addressed gender aspects in various spheres of life, including education, healthcare, the economy, and politics, which helped participants gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in each of these areas. They also developed practical skills for working with gender data and gender analysis tools, enabling them to more effectively use data and analyze gender aspects in their work. Additionally, the training served as a platform for exchanging experiences and best practices among participants, strengthening networking and fostering collaboration in the promotion of gender equality.

The event emphasized the need for collaborative efforts from all stakeholders in promoting gender equality in Kyrgyzstan. The training served as an important step towards creating a fairer and more inclusive society, where every individual has equal opportunities and rights for development.
