From July 9 to 11, 2024, a Human Rights and Advocacy School for young people with disabilities was held. The event involved young people with various forms of disabilities, aged 18 to 35, from 7 regions of Kyrgyzstan.
The participants not only deepened their knowledge of advancing gender equality and inclusive development in the country, but also learned the fundamentals of effective communication and practical skills for interacting with decision-makers.
The first day focused on enhancing knowledge in the areas of gender equality and inclusive society, as well as discussing prospects for cooperation in these important fields. The second and third days were dedicated to active practical sessions aimed at developing effective communication skills and planning interactions with key decision-makers.
At the end of the training, the participants underwent testing, and certificates of completion of the Advocacy and Rights School for Young People with Disabilities were awarded. The top performers who achieved the highest scores were also recognized as winners of the School.
The training was organized within the framework of the “InKoom – Promoting the Development of a Fair and Inclusive Society in Kyrgyzstan” project, implemented by the “Social Technologies Agency” STA, with financial support from the European Union.
